Homework

Homework will be set from Friday to Friday, online at Atom Learning, and will include Maths, English, and occasionally Science tasks. The first homework will be set on the 4th September and must be submitted by the following Friday 11th September. Please note that missed deadlines mean the task will no longer be available. House points will be awarded for completed homework.

Spellings

Spelling tests will take place every Tuesday. New spellings will be shared online for the children to practise at home throughout the week. Please ensure that your child keeps their spelling book in their school bag so that it is available in school when needed. Children can practise online at www.edshed.com using their login details. The first set of spellings will be given out in the week commencing 31st August, with the first test on Tuesday 8th September.

Reading books and diaries

We encourage all children to enjoy reading at home regularly. Please support your child by listening to them read and discussing their book together. We ask that reading diaries are signed each time your child reads so that we can celebrate and keep track of their reading in school.
